Hi everyone :) ,

I am currently using the PC3K Flash, but I’ve realized that it’s not suitable for handling many cases because it’s incompatible with a lot of controllers.

I’ve read that both FE and RUSOLUT are considered better alternatives.

The first thing that comes to mind is that FE no longer provides support, but it seems easier to understand compared to RUSOLUT.

Does anyone here have experience with FE or RUSOLUT and can share whether it’s worth transitioning to one of them, even though I already have the PC3K Flash?
And if so, which one would you recommend—FE or RUSOLUT—and why?

I’ve been working in data recovery for over 5 years, with about 95% of my work focused on HDDs. Now, I’m looking to expand my expertise and handle more SSDs, M.2 drives, SD cards, and USB sticks.

I’d greatly appreciate any advice or insights you can share.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Ihab

You can't buy FE any more - that should make your decision easier.

Arch Stanton, I understand. Untill now i mostly worked on SD Cards with Multiboard and USB Sticks (Chip reader). Do you think its worth to buy RUSOLUT when it comes to fix USB and SD-cards?

You wont have to scroll very far down to see several of my posts voicing my frustration with PC3K Flash. Whether or not VNR is worth the investment will depend on how many cases you can't recover with flash that could have been recovered with VNR. It's a huge investment in time and money to swap horses half way into the race.

VNR is pretty good. It's not easy at the begining but if you take online course you can quickly progress. You need good solder skills so you don't need to buy adapter.

Lardman, Got you, thank you for confirming!

suricate.ch, soldering is not a problem for me. I also have the adapters from the PC3K Flash. I could probably make a dump of the flash and use it in VNR, right?
