My experince tells that special utility "Barefoot" from PC3000 Flash usually recover 100% data. At least 100% that i need. You should try it

Are there any news for this device? Why isnt there a free software tool by indilinx to help a bit more?

and it must be possible to communicate with the drive (slowly) in factory mode (/"yatapdong-g") without requiring a PC-3000, no?

it has been 10 months and in post #4 Bubaleh said he would recover the data for free if you would just ship it to him. I would take him up on his offer, he is reliable.

Not all solutions are free. buying a pc-3000 and pc-3000 flash would cost you over 10k (usd).

If the data is important take him up on his offer and ship him the drive

It is rare that someone will offer free data recovery.
