Re: Drevo X1 120GB - HDD LLF Question

April 3rd, 2023, 12:43

Since I have a very hard head, I'm continuing to tinker, but more for my personal culture etc, and to be ready in the future if it ever happens to me, and with a lighter and different ssd problem.

Anyway this is other info I was able to retrieve via "EzTools_2258XT_S0326A_V2.2.6_RecoveryMode_3D"

I leave you a rar archive with all the logs in case someone can find them useful.

And continuing to tinker I was able to solve the problem and bring the ssd back to life!!

I leave the exact version that I used to flash the firmware, this is for those who have had the same problem as me,
thanks again for the help received from fzabkar, it helped me to get a minimum of culture and be able to understand certain things.

I don't upload the file to avoid violations of the forum rules, but if someone gives me the ok I can do it.

You can post a link, or you can upload it here:

Is SMART clear now?

Edit:

Was this the one you used?

Yes.
I also noticed that it was worth bringing back to life, because today looking for more info in it I saw that the bad sectors weren't even that many.
I also did some benchmarks (even the read and write speeds don't seem to have suffered much loss), and finally I did an optimization on it.
So I reinstalled SSD in my brother's PC, put on W10, the PC is better than before in moments!
In conclusion, it was definitely worth losing these days behind it to fix it.
Obviously we will have to see how it behaves over time, but I advised him to use it with discretion and not to write much on it, I installed an old hdd that I found while rummaging to store files.

Among other things, everything went really smoothly, no strange errors that other users I read in recent days had encountered doing the procedure.
I think I got it exactly right, even if the serial number is slightly different as we had seen in previous messages.
PF29F32B2ALCMG2 instead of PF32B2ALCMG2
But as you noted, they seem closely related to each other.
Of course I didn't become an expert in 3 days hahahaha! So I can't tell.

I would try different versions of MP Tool, perhaps an older or a newer one has better support for that particular controller+flash combination.
If it is a SMI controller, then the SMI MP Tool should in general be able to format the disk again and bring it to a good state (checking for bad blocks and doing away with them). If you have many bad blocks, I would suggest to also reduce the nominal capacity with the MP Tool at the same time so that you have more spare space. I think you most likely just have to try different versions of the MP tool and find the one that works best.
