it could also be that it's not getting all the power, there are 3V 1V 1.8V, it still needs 2.5V and 1.35V - check U13 and U24 what these are, if they are load switches one of them should supply 1.35V to controller

this is SanDisk Ultra II ?
i have the same disk, does anyone know if there is support for MRT?
