My new 8GB ipod is only 400MB

I have a problem with my new ipod. It is 8GB but it is only 400 now. Is there anyway i can get the space back?

Did you try to format your ipod? Maybe you have guarantee? In your case I think you have damaged flash controller.

Drive proabably has HPA activated because the person used failing memory to sell you it much cheaper.


morale of the story. Buy the real thing, with the warranty. The flash based ipods should last you a very long time.
