This is a bit academic unless you have all three tools, as all it will tell us is how many people that read this thread have which equipment.

Hi!
I need a tool for flash memory recovery. But I am not sure which one is the best option. I see from this poll that PC-3000 Flash is most popular. Does anyone has something like comparison of these three devices?

There are no “complete” solutions to recover all flash, each solution has its advantages and disadvantages.

One has either the apropriate knowledge and experience to build an own
tool or is able to bypass exitsting tools if they do not succeed with a
recovery.

As a novice in that field I had to learn that the so called "automatic
recovery" is a nice fable - especially in respect of flash ram. Hundreds
of controller chips and combinations on the market and new ones to
expect.

I think the tool manufacturers are running behind the market. All my last
attempts - with pro assistance - where negative (no automatic detection)
and even the step by step attempts led to lost time only.

Its most probably also because I had some new big ( 8+16GB ) sticks and
sd cards.

Interested to see whether SalvationData found really a technique to trace
the logic how data is stored within the chip(s) without knowing / needing
controller details.
Their tool is anounced for May.... (which is very soon)

You say automatic recovery is a fable, then you say another company can bypass controller details... so it means they still can make automatic modes?

Fable? I use PC3K Flash and 60-70% and more cases I recover by automatic mode.
But of course also in using automatic modes you need brain, hands and eyes. Some people has a lack of knowledges about data recovery, about FS structures and etc. That's why they couldn't work with PC3K flash and also they mustn't work in data recovery area. PC3K has also manual mode for data recovery. Salvation Data will release a clone of PC3K flash, it's typical situation on the chinese market. If you need professional solution and you really ready to raise your knowledges and make the business PC3K products is your choice.

In few words... PC3000 is easier to use but Soft-Center tool is much more powerful if you know what you are doing.
Oh yes, and Soft center support is much better.

I also use a Soft Center equipment to flash recovery. I must say, that support is very good. I had no problems with recoverying all my previous cases. There is many of information about kinds of mixes and system flash structures explained, for registered users of course. There is also many of done cases described, so at most of cases You don't need to ask support. The cost of reader is also very friendly. But it's a tool for people who knows how file systems, as FAT16,FAT32, works and this tool not works automatically! I learned this all very fast, and it seems to me, that it's very simply to understand this file system structures.
