Phone recovery

Hello brothers ;)

Lately I have a lot of question about phone recovery. Usually SMS and phone book. It's no problem when data is on SIM card. When data is in the phone memory, it is more complicated. I search a lot, but I can't find nowhere any advice.

Maybe you have any experience about that?
Maybe we can crate topic with information like this:

1. Phone - brand, model
2. Type of memory use in the phone
3. Solution how to recover data

What do you think? Maybe you have better idea?
IMHO it is worth it ;)

Do you want to recover deleted data from phone memory? Or data from a "broken" phone memory?

Usually deleted data (or data lost when the new firmware was load - but in this case data probably data is overwritten).

You will probably need to look at a product like Oxygen Forensic Suite or .XRY (by MicroSystemation). Both are expensive products, especially XRY.

I'm sure there are some cheaper products available for non-forensic purposes.

Thanks a lot :) I will look at this program.

But first of all I think about scenario:

1. user lost a lot of data in phone
2. data recovery is impossible via software
3. unsolder the memory from the phone
4. read memory with programmer
5. recovery/decode the data

Do you have experience with this?

Most memorychips in phones are undocumented or not supported by programmers; you'll have to find out yourself (or get a datasheet from manufacturer) and change your programmer-software to read these chips.
Not an easy task.
