16gb USB Stick - Problem

Plug the device into the PC, and windows pops up saying it's installing drivers...

Then it fails and tells me it can't install it, and device manager see's it as an unknown device...

It DID work, but for some reason, now it won't.

Not sure of make, as its not branded, and cant see anything on the PCB itself...

Any ideas?

Just buy a new one.

If you want the data and are sufficiently able to rework electronics you could start by checking the crystal. If that is not the problem the controller may have failed.

If that is the case you will need to read the chips directly to get your data back.

Have you tried at another pc? same result?
