Hello.

My flash drive went crazy.

Partitions are wiped out. There are no entries inside MBR partition table. MBR signature is set to 4A55. It reports 4 GB capacity to Windows' XP Logical Disk Manager. It reports 8,388,605 logical sectors to DMDE.

I contacted ADATA service support but they just told me that my flash drive is defective and I should swap it for a new one. However, they didn't mention a thing about data recovery, and I need my data very badly!

Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention that every logical sector has the same content as sector 0, that is:

Looks like controller got crazy. It shows you tech-data.
Need to read Nand's chips dirrectly via Flash-reader.
If your data is very important, contact with Data Recovery experts near you for help.

Can't I just buy such Flash-reader and do it myself?

However, that might break my warranty.

The cost and time / training that is required is way too high for a single case.

You should consider somebody who already has the right tools and skills

Maybe but consider:

1. Cost of NAND reader - $210
2. Cost of software - $1870
3. Learning of how to use it - 3 months absolute minimum

Frankly if you care more for warranty on a $40 device than the data, then I don't think so!!
