hi there i got ID but nothing more, do u know about some issue on this nand and flashdoctor?

In comparison to the other Flash recovery tools available, the Flash Doctor is very poor.

I have used it just once, and I am surprised it is capable of recovering anything....

It's not very user friendly and the algorithm database is very poor, so it takes some getting used to, but it works..

My initial first recoveries were frustratingly slow, but once you get used to how the tool works, the speed improves.

thankx for your feedback - already buy it so i must use it at the moment -
just i am wondering how to manage this issue now..

Other than cleaning and re seating the chip, I'm afraid it the dreaded technical support.... try and collar Buijiang, he's pretty good with it...

(Tip, I know it's a ball ache, but if you can put your request in for a support session just after midnight (their time) and leave TV running, you will get a session early, trust me, it works... )

you need to ensure that ALL the pins are clean and evenly seperated, and that the chip is sitting properly in the holder. I know that not all the pins are used to read the chip, but it doesn't help if they are being allowd to short. I use a magnifying lamp to inspect this before powering up the reader (cos my eyes aren't as good as they used to be).. you need to ensure that all the available pins on the chip are sitting UNDER the corresponding contact in the holder and not between them. (I know it's not rocket science, but you never know)...

I have had this problem before, and after cleaning and re seating the chip, it worked ok...... other than that, it's gonna be a late night..

are you sure it can not be the nand defective?

Probably not support by the Salvation "toy"

But I must admit on certain chips (some Tosh NVG6/7 chips) a physical power mod is required to the Soft Center reader to get a good read off them

Also, Kingston with Toshiba NAND sounds like typical XOR. You should check with SD that they have support for this XOR. My guess is they have not.

i try to power the flashdoctor trought a powered usb hub.. but it did not solved.

No, I don't mean that.

I mean phsyically re-wire some of the tracks on the TSOP adaptor.
