Hello Everybody.
I have a smartphone with an internal 16 GB flash drive (FAT32 formatted) in which I have lots of folders and files and some mp3 files I would like to listen in a car stereo.
The problem I have is that when I plug the phone on the stereo via the USB port, the stereo recognizes and reads the internal flash drive, but no music files are found. When I browse the file system using the mechanism provided by the stereo, it reports two folders only.
I am almost sure that the stereo has a limit on the size of the partition that it can read (although the user manual does not mention it) and it only reads the first part of the partition, where I think my music files are not located. I thought that I could 'organize' my file system and move my music to the 'beginning' of the partition and put the rest of the files after. This way the car stereo can find and read the music first. However I have not found a tool on the Internet to do such kind of task.
I have also considered formatting the partition and copying the music first, but I have noticed that the operating system of my smartphone puts a lot of stuff there, and I am not sure what would happen if I delete that files.
I would appreciate if you have an idea on how can I solve this issue. Thanks in advance!
