What has been everybody's experience in recovering fake flash drives?

What are some challenges once the flash goes kaput concerning the data on the chip?

--Would not mind some PMs if some of the more experienced flash technology forum members feel like today is Sunday and would like to share few additional details.

Have access to data-center and Ace flash tools if either can address fakes better somehow.
