Post subject:  sdhc card not recognized

Hi, I have a sdhc Lexar card not recognized by operative system. Card can't be formatted in windows/Linux or in an digital camera.
WinHex detects it as 2,0KB device but crashes if I try open it or clone it. Linux detects it as 2KB:

Quote:
[ 302.776821] scsi 2:0:0:0: Direct-Access Single Flash Reader 1.00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0
[ 302.786082] sd 2:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg1 type 0
[ 303.229039] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] 4 512-byte logical blocks: (2.04 kB/2.00 KiB)
[ 303.229771] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect is on
[ 303.229779] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Mode Sense: 03 00 80 00

Is not possible mount it or dd it.
As it's a monolithic card, I can't read chip with pc-3000 flash

Do you have experience with this kind of cards? Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance

"As it's a monolithic card, I can't read chip with pc-3000 flash"

Do you have the Soft Center tool with the SD adaptor?

Sometimes you can access these monolithic cards using Image Explorer with the "Adaptor_SD.dll" plugin and make an image.

Not often I must admit, but in 20-30% of cases it works

Hi pcimage,

I don't have this tool neither the adapter. Have you tested if this adapter works correctly with sdhc cards?

The adapter is xD/SD but SD and SDHC cards are differents.

Show the photo of card. If it is monolith, special connection to card will be needed.

This is the card, photo isn't very good but I have only this one. What special connection is needed if pinout is unknown?

I can't see anything on this photo. Show sharp photo and good resolution, something like that:
