A collegue's daughter pulled out their USB memory stick when a file was still copying (in Windows 7)
Normally this would just result in some minor file system corruption (FAT32) and an inconsistent or damaged file
However in this case the USB memory stick became totally unusuable
Under windows the USB bridge part still shows up ok as a Removable drive
but it shows "No Media"
details of stick model etc to follow
I've not got my hands on it yet, but assume that low level reads on the drive will fail, hence nothing I can do at the logical level
Any thoughts on the viability and cost of recovery (UK based) ?
Thanks in advance
