Desolder NAND, read it by SC or PC3K or other reader for NAND flash, remove mixes and use assembler to make an image. Enjoy your data :)

Hi,
First, take off the blue shield and inspect closely the USB connector where it solders to the mainboard.

I have also been getting a lot of SM3257EN Q controllers in and there is many issues with recovering such as bank sizes.

or unsolder NAND and read it / recover data

i think read chip and assemble is the best. usual SM3257 with bad firmware make it can't detect

Generally the SM3257 will at least flash the LED and the PC will have some reaction to the device
That's why I'm suggesting to look there first as a quick measure. About 10% of cases (not including the ones the user knows they broke the connector) are actually that and it I'd and easy fix

Btw which tools for flash do you have?

thank you for your answers ..

te connecter is fine , unfortunatly

the problem is elsewhere ... case was outsourced ..

i will stop accepting ssd/flash cases

thank you again

I wouldn't be so hasty to stop accepting them. Just have a quick and defined process. If you can fix the 10% - 20% that don't need NAND read such as connectors and outsource the rest you still get a bit. Depends how you are doing with other things - if you have time etc - ultimately a business decision.
