Accidently Formated a bitlocked 8GB drive

December 2nd, 2013, 0:54

Hi, I am really hoping someone could help me. Currently I am using easeUS data recovery.

I accidentally formatted my business SD CARD. It had W2's, Wages, Taxes, IRS Docs, Editable Employee Training manuals, Business artwork, Etc. Everything related to my business that was worth saving from the last 3 years. I am at a total loss. My gut hurts, and I have lost sleep over this.

So upon deleting, I tried EaseUS and recovered 3 file folders from my windows bitlocked SD card.

Inside a folder named "Raw" was 2 folders.

Located inside folder "GZIP Compression File"
FILE001.rar 47.6MB
FILE002.rar 47.6MB

Located inside folder "ShockWave Flash File"
FILE001.swf 3.29gb

I am assuming the files that I am trying to recover on my SD Card are not readily available because of the encryption I used to secure my SD Card. But I do not know for sure.

I am guessing the files I need are trapped and ecryted inside the data I was able to recover. But I have not a clue to retrieve my files.

Please any help would be great. If you have a company in mind that you know would help, please let me know.

What do you mean by "bitlocked SD card"

Some hardware encryption or Windows BitLocker

If it was BitLocker and an SD card then it would be BitLocker2Go
and (before accidentally formatting)
should have some

BitLockerToGo files on it plus
some
. Bl
. PD
and a big . ER
files on it

Are you sure it hasn't be reused ?

plus some dummy PAD files

But yours doesn't sound like that at all

I think you mean something other than BitLocker

It was Windows bitlocker. I am sure it has not been reused. Basically I was able to retrieve 3.29 Gb of data. It is in a .swf extension. I am positive my files are encrypted within that file.

My wish is that I can use a data recovery software to simply snatch the erased files. But because it I had windows bitlocker enabled it is much more complicated. And I do not know what to do!
