I am trying to extract data from a 2GB flash chip dump from a stick with an SM325QF AC controller.
The page is 4288byte 8*(512+16)+64, where page tail is all zeros, and sector tail's 2 first bytes are probably the ID, while the 3rd is page number (0-127), so block is 128p long. Every block pair has same ID, and seem to be interleaved to each other, so bank is 512K, and block 1M. There are some same IDs for two blocks.
I assemple the image by block ID, but only files less than at about 300K are correct. Biger jpgs are scrambled, or incontinous, that is as if lines are mising. I am obviusly missing something.
Does anyone have some knowledge of this controller?
I am not expiriensed, and I only have SD (so I have actualy no software) and trying with custom utils. Any help whould be most aprecciated.

I assume you've read the dump with SD flash tool, right?

What was the ID of the chip?

Here are the chip markings:

MCU:
SM325QF AC
A90813 0804
TAIWAN ST8

Flash:

Hello HaQue,
This is the chip ID:
2CD5943E74410000

Micron, MT29F16G08MAA

It is a 4288 page size, the (512+16)*8+64 format is clear in hexedit.

Soft center flash extractor works with that chip with 4320 page size.

I won't be claiming this flash is 100% recoverable without seeing the dump, but quite likely we'll be able to help reassembling the dump remotely.
Should you decide you need an assistance, feel free to email me (address is on the website in my profile).
