Greetings Dick,
Thanks for the reply. Let me provide some more details.
I have attempted to do a bit copy of the whole SSD. I am attaching a screen capture
when I used HDDCopy. It does NOT even recognize the drive.
I also tried all of the other Bit Copiers I could find.
I realize the SSD is an SCSI drive and the BIOS needs to be set
to AHCI during the installation. I have replaced the ADATA with
a Samsung and have no problems [so far].
When, I only have the Samsung SSD as 'C' it boots and runs so so so
slow. There is interface between the remaining 'boot' information
on the ADATA - even though it is NOT the boot disk. Nothing can be done
to the drive. I desperately want to make a bit copy to preserve the
whole ADATA drive contents. That way I am working on a copy.
When I boot with only the ADATA drive and the Repair Disk I created or
my original Windows 7 disk, I am unable to do anything at all.
I am studying the possibility of making a boot disk and trying to use
GPart or something like that.
I only way I have access to the ADATA SSD is when it is in my USB 3.0
docking station. But, everything grinds to a halt when I click on properties
etc.
I hope someone else might have suggestions. I sure don't want to spend
mega bucks to recover my emails and bookmarks.
Kindest regards,
David
