Cloning WiiU drive, not working?

November 4th, 2016, 6:02

I thought this tool would be PERFECT for cloning my WiiU external drive (USB, 128 GB)

Sinc eit is raw I thought I would be set. I ran th program, I clicked source and destination, and it did its thing for about 1 hour or so.

When I poped the cloned disk into the WiiU it was not detected.

Also what was weird was after the copy process, windos still reported the drive as "fat32"

It is an undocumented proprietary file system so I figured this would work perfectly.

Is anything I missed here, or any reason why this should not have worked?

I really want to clone my WiiU USB drive because stupid Nintendo has no option to backup the drive itself by any means! Shamefull!

Shouldn't this work with any weird file system as it is doing sector copies?

Anything I am missing or anyone has any info or ideas or wants to try it out?

I think the hard drive is locked onto the system with it's serial number...like xbox does.

Hey again. Just to be clear, the WiiU does not come with a hard drive. We plug our own USB drive into the usb port ont he front, any will work, whether usb stick or USB HDD.
