SD Card Info

December 15th, 2014, 8:08

Anyone seen one like this? Doesn't detect. I cant find any info on what it is.

Another hard case in a long run of them really starting to make me wonder if I will get any sleep this month!

Some research suggests that the MM8GF01GWMCE-PA card has been OEM-ed by Kingston and Transcend.

FWIW, I see several references to MM8GF01GWMCE-2PA00. These cards are claimed to have been manufactured by Samsung.

We saw these monoliths previously, first time few years ago already (so yes, it's rather old model), and I remember at least one this year. And indeed, they were Kingstons and Transcends.
If I recall correctly, not all of its lead-outs are on the first layer.

Tomorrow I can ask our flash engineers about further details if necessary.

Thanks everyone. Also Frank, I think some fake cards use numbers similar, pity these numbers don't have better meaning like normal products. I am leaning towards to Transcend. I will have to shelve this for a while if customer agrees until I can get a better logic analyser, such as a Salaea. I chose a Hantek 4032L as specs looked ample. The software is horrible to the point of unusable. Unfortunately no Sigrok support. serves me right for being a cheapskate I suppose.

Dmitri, if more info is available easily, then that would be great but I certainly wouldn't want to interrupt any engineers at this time if they are at least 1/2 as hectic as I am right now.

Will be good to add to knowledge base though, so I will urge customer with incentive to let me solve.

Thanks
