DMDE getting stuck at 57 per cent

I have a SD card here which I am trying to image (for the purposes of data rec).

I am using DMDE (latest version). However, it gets stuck at 57 per cent every time.

When I go to an image in "reverse mode" - it gets stuck at 43 per cent!

Any solutions or workarounds would be great?

Not sure what the problem is exactly, but 57 + 43 = 100. Realize that there are probably few missing areas, but putting the images together as one should not be too difficult and get most of the daters.

The other option is to use an imaging program that logs your progress so that you can jump around and flip into reverse and have a very accurate idea of how many sectors are missing. For this, I recommend GNU ddrescue.

ok, I have 2 x .bin files (one has 57 per cent that other has 43 per cent) . How do i join these and extract data from the single file created?

WinHex should be good right off the top of my head

Thanks Luke. I will give GNU ddrescue a try also.

Join two images, recover data. Simple ;)
