Hi!

My Mushkin Callisto MKNSSDCL120GB SSD (with firmware version 3.6.1) was purchased approximately 3 years ago for a Windows 7 system. It worked fine until last night. It suddenly cannot be detected by the BIOS on the computer I used it with. Nor can it be detected by the BIOS of a different computer. Is that data recoverable in this case? Supposing I purchased a used Callisto MKNSSDCL120GB of the same firmware version on Ebay, would I be able to swap the logic boards, or is the storage of the drive actually integrated into the logic board? Is there any way to recover the data from this SSD?

Thanks a lot

SSD is only logic board :) So if you replace to the new one you will have working drive for sure ;)

What is the name of controller on board?

Not much of any do it yourself options with SSD drives unfortunately. Especially if it isn't being recognized. I'd recommend you take it to a professional data recovery place.

Hi!

I am not sure, I have not tried to open the SSD drive. I am even sure what tool to use to open the drive. I will try to do some research and learn the tools needed to reveal the logic board and the controller.

Thanks
