knowing where "on the space" is located, one would be able to give you advice on a pro in your area .... Never the less this can be either a simple issue or something serious. Even trying to clone that drive could make it worse - a correct diagnose from a pro is the best solution ....(and no collegue, or friend of a friend or relative) Its as simple - if data is valuable for you ... get proper diagnosis, otherwise you might loose your data. whoever suggests to go on with your own DIY doesnt care for your data. +++ |

hack3rcon wrote: it is Silicon Power. Ok, not 100% but from I know about these, they don't have any encryption. Is this correct?

Yes, if photorec isn't at least finding some files in RAW it's likely an encryption issue. Can you provide a picture of the original USB bridge board? That or this is a simple sector size issue. Are you directly SATA connected, or using some sort of USB adapter? I know that some adapters can't handle 4K sector drives properly. |
