Plextor PX-256M6S - slow detection, no access to any sector

SSD Plextor PX-256M6S cause my computer to halt. After rebooting i have to wait long to detect the disk in the BIOS.
Finally BIOS detect it with the correct name and size. However, I can not read any sector.
What could have happened? Is that a congenital defect of this model?
