Hi all,
My Sandisk drive was working find until this morning when I think my children have knocked it with the desk chair.
Sadly now when I plug the drive in, all I get is a format message, properties show it has 0 bytes and raw file system, and using any tools show the drive as 64Mb.

Can anyone help me at all?

The drive is a Sandisk cruzer switch 16Gb, I have not figured out how to open the drive as yet, either.

Cheers in advance

I would say that the flash memory has degraded and the controller is blocking access to it, hence the messages.

It would require a "chip off" recovery, assuming it's not using an encrypting controller.

They're quite tricky to open too! :-)

Sometimes it's just a matter of resoldering.
I would inspect under a microscope first, especially if it's an encrypted controller.
