I have the problem Intel 320 160GB SSD 8MB Bug
anyone have a clue how to fix it? thanks

What tools do you have ? (PC3K...?!)

If data is important and you have no tools: Contact a pro.

If data is not importand: Do a secure erase and update firmware after that.

data is not important. failed to update the firmware. It displayed the "Intel SATA SSD Firmware update did not completed" screen, asking me to try to Disable the Drive Password protection in the BIOS and try again. It also asked me to Enable SMART in the BIOS, and finaly it told me to enable Legacy IDE mode in the BIOS.

If data is not important, try secure erase. But, there is absolutely no chance of recovery after that.
