My sister is a photographer, and she has a 64GB CF Card. She's taken thousands of photos in the last year with this specific card. She deletes them after every shoot and uploads them to her computer. She had a photo shoot on November 16th in the morning, and when she was finished she backed up / deleted the photos before going to another shoot that night. Two days later she deleted those photos but completely forgot to back them up (So the november 16th photos at night are gone). She had another shoot on the 18th and did it, backed up, and deleted. Now we are trying to recover the files and strangely enough we get back 1.3 TB of crap to recover, but there isn't a single trace from November 16th at night.. everything is there from the morning of the 16th, and the night of the 18th... There isn't a single trace or fragment from the 16th at night.. I've never seen this before and I keep telling her there's no way they could have been on this card.. Is she just super unlucky? Any insight would be great.

Could it really be that coincidental that ONLY those times and dates are missing, but I'm able to trace back 1.3TB of data back on a 64GB drive? I mean, normally some loose fragments pop up, but in this case, not a single thing in that time frame.. But, guess it's gone :/.

You could try a raw recovery.
Then browse through the viewable thumbnails and see if any of them are the ones you are looking for.

What file format does she shoot in?
