I'm trying to read data from a Kingston 2GB microSD Card with proper pin out.
But I'm unable to get a proper ID
The ID reads: 0x00000000

As I see you try connect probably by spider. Did you try other reader?

Tried on SC reader, gave ID as: 01010101

Check short between VCC and GND.

Checked for resistance between VCC and GND, there is no short, and it showed ~150 Ohms.
