Hi guys!
Have a dead SCV32 (Galaxy A8).
Of course there are a lot of options before chip-off as repairing and what not,
but at the moment wondering where the memory chip is?
On S6 it is above Shannon 333 baseband (to the left from CPU), but this time it is just empty space.
Is it inside CPU Exynos 5433?
Searched the WEB, no info.
Please advise...

What is that Samsung IC to the left of the Exynos CPU?

Looks like the prime candidate to me, although it’s difficult to tell without a decent photo.

It's not the same PCB, but it has a Samsung KMQ310013M eMCP (EMMC+LPDDR3 16GB+2GB).

thank you for the info - yes, I think it is a worldwide variation, and in my case where should be eMCP is empty space, only modem Shannon333

There is some physical damage around one of the power management ICs. Could it possibly be an easy fix?

The processor and eMCP are stacked on top of each other.

Why not fix the damage instead of a chip-off, or did you damage the PCB while removing the PMU cover?

There should be two part numbers on the multi-chip. One is the CPU (5433), the other is the eMCP.
