i have had issues with crucial bx500 they throw smart errors under heavy load for "enclosure temperature" even when the ssd has fans directly on it. thing is the sensor is in the controller and there is no heatsinking/thermal compound/thermal pads between the controller and the plastic ssd chassis so no matter how good the cooling is it "overheats" even though it's not actually getting too hot. anyway, i want 8x affordable ssds with good endurance/tbw rating that will do well under extended writes. kingston a400 maybe?
