I can help you to verify the power supply voltages, but you would need to supply detailed photos of both sides, and you would need a multimeter.

we think the problem is logical, not electrical. I need to do something electrical to put it into safe mode with a short circuit. the cameras and scanners I have are not enough to take a detailed photo.

Spend 5 minutes performing basic measurements with a DMM. That's the first "electrical" thing you should do.
