5100 pro M2 - MTFDDAV240TCB

good morning everyone, and cheers from Italy :)

I am writing here because I would like some advice on what to do:

my dad, who is almost 80 years old, has a desktop PC that I assembled, with which he surfs the web, listens to music, burns CDs, scans medical reports and images.

a few days ago, he lifted the front of the desktop PC with one hand to remove the dust underneath, and it slipped from his hand.
we are talking about 3 or 4 cm, just enough space to pass his hand under the feet.

from that moment on, the PC no longer recognized the nvme disk.
I had to buy another disk and reinstall everything from scratch.
the same broken disk, it is not recognized by other PCs either.

how is it possible that an nvme breaks with a small blow?
is it possible to recover documents, songs, scans, from this apparently broken disk?
dad would be really happy if I recovered his work, the scans of the analyses, the songs, the photos...
thanks and have a good day.

Marco

It sounds like the PC may have had some sort of short/power surge when it was moved that got through to the SSD.
Here is a data recovery pro who will be able to help you.
It doesn't sound like its a DIY job.
