Hi guys,

Any experience with Sandisk SD8SN8U-256-1006 ?

This SSD was in HP Laptop, laptop stop booting, drive not recognized without reason, no water, no drop.
Those aren't supported by ACE
I can imagine debug is what I circle in RED. I've tried to mount with external case, not recognized at all.

Thanks
Sam

Yesterday i do this model with success. There was some problem with contact on some elements. Try LITTLE heat or frozen.

If you can provide a better photo, I can show you the voltage test points. IIRC there is a high-side MOSFET load switch which supplies power to the PCB via the DEV SLEEP pin. This is a common problem, at least on other SanDisk/Apple SSDs.

I have same problem on Asus Zenbook.
I connect drive to my pc3000 and drive was fully identified under DE.

After two weeks I was able to get data back, not 100%, but customer was satisfied with results.

From my observations, there is some problem in FW.

Hopefully I have identified the correct pin on each capacitor. If not, then measure the voltage at the other pin, or the voltage across the capacitor, or at the inductor.

PMPB20XPE, NXP, -20V, -10.3A, P-channel Trench MOSFET, marking 1D, DFN2020MD-6 (SOT1220):

Thank you, that's really helpfull.

I got power accross capacitor
v1 =1.356
v2 =1.052
v3 =2.707
v4 =1.805
Vout=3.257

That doesn't look bad.

I measure 0.0 on the brown inductor, I've put a red cross where I measure it. I don't know how to measure the black inductor.

Thanks
Sam

Those voltages seem reasonable, although you would need to compare them with a working SSD to be sure.

Thank you all.

Using freeze spray and heat gun, I get ID now but I wonder if it's worth, Map is 98% yellow others are red and it's going to take forever.
