Recovering ADATA SU800
Posted: October 15th, 2020, 12:08
Hi everyone,
This is a continuation of https://www.reddit.com/r/datarecovery/c ... _recovery/
I figured a forum would have a better response and I like being able to post photos inline.
Basically I messed up and connected an aftermarket SATA power cable on my modular power supply. It's safe to say I sent 12V down the wrong holes.

Here is where I am at. I have removed U3 (MP5016). I can't for some reason figure out the pinout.
I have probed around and found continuty between what I think is the Source voltage and GND according to the datasheet (https://www.monolithicpower.com/en/docu ... nt_id/1701)

I assume shorting the unpopulated pads is not the way to go.
What should I do next? LMK if better PCB pics are needed.
Pls help
