64GB Sandisk microsd that lived in an Xperia phone. Customer accidentally seems to have deleted most of her photos. I can see they have been deleted in r-studio and the contents is all 0s so 99.9% sure everything is gone forever however I'm sure I read on here somewhere recently that accessing memory directly through pads someone found that wiped data was still accessible on these? Maybe I'm just imagining it. |

Zeros suggests data was TRIMMED (or SD equivalent for that). Initially this may just be an 'administrative' action while data is to be actually erased at a later stage. And if that is so, there's at least the theoretical chance data is still recoverable as long as drive is denied background garbage collection and such. That's how I understand this works. |

Here's some tech info on the subject, microSD works very similar to eMMC. |
