The print on the PCB suggests that it is designed for the "Loyd Star" codename. Wikipedia's references to this family identify the controller as Silicon Motion SM2256 ??? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_SSDs I suspect that the two test point at the top right corner of the first photo may be for "ROM mode". The left pad appears to be connected to a pullup resistor, in which case it should be safe to short it to ground. But you'll need to verify that for yourself. |

With the great help of fzabkar, I was able to access the data using PC3K terminal and DE. Happy end, case closed

Hm? PC3K was able to recover Intel 2258? Very interesting! |

If you can't reach ROM mode, then look for electronic faults. |

could this ssd recovery without PC3K hardware?i got 1 but i don't have PC3K. i got sm2258 easytool & MPtool from usbdevru ,but it may not support because intel may locked mcu.(a ssd fixer tell me) |

hi all,i read about the post https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=40618 about broke SSDSCKKF256H6/SSDSCKKW256H6 recovery and have some qusetion. could this ssd recovery without PC3K hardware?i got this broke ssd but i don't have PC3K;i can enter rom mode. i got sm2258 series easytool & MPtool from usbdevru,but it may not support because intel locked mcu. |
