You can check the voltages at L8 - L11, and L1 and L4. If you need to bypass the bridge, you can remove capacitors C76 - 79 and make your external SATA connections there. The "ROM mode" shorting points would be either J4 or J5 (J5 looks safe to try). |

The "L" components are inductors. They form part of a DC-DC converter which converts the +5V supply to lower voltages for the main ICs.
L4 = Vcore for SM2258XT controller L11 = 3.3V supply for NANDs ? L9 (4V) looks out of place, but I don't know what it could be used for. |
