Is it shorted or just getting generally hot ? I put a usb meter inline to get an idea of current drawn. You could try a heat sink / fan or freeze spray and something like hddsuperclone if DE is being a pain but I'm afraid I've had no luck with them at all. Hopefully some of our more seasoned veterans may share some secrets |

There are 3 switchmode regulators (ODH + ODH + SBN) and one LDO linear regulator (marking "3XT"). Measure the resistance between ground and the output of each regulator. Also measure the resistance between ground and the +3.3V input. |
