Post subject:  SANDISK SSD PLUS 480GB 15.4kB size

Hi everyone,

I know these drives tend to fail this way. 15.4kB size shows up in DMDE.
LBA 30 size instead of LBA 937703088.
Can anyone throw some light on this matter?

Obviously we all know most of the tools needed. I have MRT, which 95% I dont know how to use. No one wants to share any knowledge (even willing to pay), and a lot of other software, like DMDE and similars.

I am sure this is a controller or firmware issue, something software wont fix...

Many thanks in advance

Do you have the MRT SSD addon and can you confirm that it has support for the SSD controller you have?

That would be my guess. It's going to be much the same as the tosh nvme you asked about, as Icoughey asks do you have the ssd addon and does it support the controller (if you haven't already, open it up and check the controller). I can't find a list of supported ssd's for mrt at first glance but pc3k have a list https://blog.acelaboratory.com/pc-3000-ssd-list-of-supported-ssd-drives-regularly-updated.html

It seems that there is an SM controller and a Marvell controller version of the SSD Plus. According to what I could gleam from MRT update notes posted here (https://www.recoveryforce.com/forums/vi ... f=55&t=677) the SM variant is supported by MRT and the Marvell is not. Both seem to be supported by PC3000.
