Anyone here that have been able work with those on firmware level?

I have a case here which shows correct and full ID and is DRD. Accessing user LBA gives INF error. All SMART values is zero, including all attributes.

Thank you for the observation. You are right. But the PCB is marked "WOLFSVILLE BOARD F". So it is apparently a Haleyville on a Wolfsville board.
