HP Samsung Enterprise SSD SM825 failure

Hi everyone, I purchased this SSD for reliability and it has failed on me. During a storm the server shut off and now when turned back on the drive will not initialize and shows as SMART error. I see there were some firmware updates for the SSD released however none of the software will detect that the SSD is present and flash the updated firmware. I would really hate to throw it out and contribute to more e-waste when it is a barely used drive with such nice specs.

CrystalDiskInfo shows the drive inside Windows. I do not have an HP server. I have tried leaving it powered on with no SATA connection for an entire weekend and then powering it back on with connection and no difference.
