I have a Toshiba HG6 THNSNJ512GCSU with the ATA security set to maximum and an unknown user password set. From what I've learned, ATA max security disables the master password so that all operations require the user password. I just want to wipe the drive and make it usable again. I've tried gparted and other low-level formatting utilities, but they all failed due to the hardware level security.
Firmware is JUPS0102.
There is a service port that has a pinout on the datasheet for this drive, but I don't know how to talk to it.
Any ideas are welcome, thanks in advance!
