Good folks,

I am looking for some help. Recently my MacBook Pro stopped working and I had to get it repaired locally. However there was some corruption in the SSD (1 TB AP1024N) because of which it had to be formatted and OS was reloaded. I went to System Report and checked it's not showing anything related to TRIM. I have tried to recover the data through softwares like Stellar, Disk Drill, etc but unfortunately the previous files aren't really showing up. I wanna check on:
- Is the data really recoverable in a case like this?
- If the data is recoverable then what should be the next steps? Are there any softwares recommended to get the data back?

TIA

TRIM would normally wipe your data. I'm not sure why you aren't seeing any mention of it.

If there is any chance of getting any data, clone the drive and run data recovery software against the clone. DMDE and RAISE are two good, inexpensive tools.

The situation aggravated by the fact of default APFS encryption.

It seems UFS Explorer can handle that encryption, or forensic tools like Passware or Magnet Axiom.

Yes they can, until you still have key-rings in FS metadata, after reformatting and new system installation i doubt you can get previous keys, user password won't help you much (it is not a key).
