Hi all, happy holidays

Another day i found a video in youtube from a guy who says that he is capable to recover data from a monolithic device by decaping with laser.

Does someone believe this can be useful to recover data?

I'ts not to recover data. It's to find conections needed to get direct access to NAND, read it and assemble it.

He may be even to repair a blown resistor like that?! I have a monolith right now that is completely dead. If it would have been 'conventional' UFD it might have been something fixable. What kind of laser would one need for this?
