Hello again,

Is there an .exe tool that can go in and unlock the SSD on Win10? The locked SSD cannot run a backup on old style Norton Ghost.

I have no knowledge of registry and I saw that a switch in regedit is one method. I just can't make Regedit work in Windows 10 either: (location bar seems locked and cannot navigate to the needed HKEY group.

When trying to run chkdsk /f I initially got the disk is locked error.

I tried the chkdsk /f /r /x and that did not fix the problem.
