I have a C: disk image which I had previously created with the Acronis software. The system image was created from an HDD.

If I buy an SSD, will it be possible to restore the system from the image onto the SSD? Or should a system image created from an HDD be restored only to an HDD?

If I try to restore the system from the HDD onto an SSD, will some changes have to be made in the settings? (E.g. disabling defragmentation or indexing, which were originally enabled for the HDD.)

there's no restriction, you can restore HDD to SSD, you won't need to change anything.
