Hello,

So I've bought recently 2TB 970 Evo Plus which was bent that hard, that SSD controller's pads were torn out, I've tried to reball(reflow) it with heatgun at 330C, balls did not land on the PCB.

Here's my question, is it possible to take NANDs from this dead SSD and place it to the 256GB version of Samsung 970 Evo Plus?

There is few issues you can meet here:
- other type of chip package between drives (BGA132/BGA272, BGA316 etc)
- other version of FW, so need reprogram it
- if drive was bent, there is some chcnce that chips are cracked
- overheat the nand chips make drive unoperable or will cause many bad sectors

It is theoretically possible to take the NAND chips from a damaged 2TB 970 Evo Plus and place them in a 256GB version of the same model, but it would likely be a complex and difficult process that would require specialized equipment and expertise. Additionally, even if the NAND chips were successfully transferred, there is no guarantee that the drive would function properly. It is recommended to seek professional help or send it back to the manufacturer for repair.
