The Vcc and Vccq voltages I'm referring to are the supply voltages for the NAND chips. Today's NAND flash usually runs off 3.3V. Vccq can be 3.3V or 1.8V, or even lower. Start by measuring those voltages which I have identified in my photo clips. Obviously you would do this for a working SSD. |

I assume that the EVO 860 is similar to the EVO 840 in that you would only have to transplant the NAND chip(s) to a donor, not the controller. You definitely do not have to replace the DRAM chips. |
