Post subject:  ADATA UV350 USB Flash Drive

Hello,
I have an ADATA UV350 and it is write protected. Its serial number is "1216789504" and "G64G". I tried to download the recovery tool from http://www.adata.com/en/ss/usbdiy/, but the site is down :(.
The chipset information is:
Code:
Controller Vendor: SMI
Controller Part-Number: SM3265AC - ISP 210628-C01
Flash ID code: 2CC30832EA30 - Micron MT29F512G08EBLCE - 1CE/Single Channel [TLC-16K] -> Total Capacity = 1GB

I googled it and found https://www.usbdev.ru/files/smi/dynamptool/ website. I downloaded "Star_SM3265series_U0708.rar" file and tried to format the flash drive.After it, my USB flash size is 16GB, but it was 64GB.

Why? What is the problem?

Thank you.

Your location is in space, so it trying to fix is useless.
The flash chip is likely degraded enough, making it work in read-only mode. Eventually it may not work at all.

Adata uses low quality chips.
This article may help give a glimpse on why this is happening:
