Hello, I've briefly owned a Kioxia CM6 15.36TB, was working fine at full 15.36TB capacity, then PC froze and after reboot I noticed total capacity showing 1600GB, SMART table wiped, and it can no longer be formatted or secure-erased even at 1600GB. Unclear what caused this, if firmware is corrupt, etc. Firmware for these drives is nearly impossible to find online since it's an enterprise SSD, but I tried flashing from one of its internal firmware slots, and it refuses the command.

I'm assuming it's a paperweight at this point, but if anyone has any insight I'd appreciate it. Output from nvme-cli id-ctrl is below.

Code:
ser@ws:~$ sudo nvme id-ctrl -H /dev/nvme0

I can't help, but I notice that the serial number looks strange. The manufacture date appears to be August 2021, but the code for the day of the month ("X") appears to be invalid.

Toshiba's warranty checker rejects your drive, presumably because it doesn't recognise the code for the part number ("TD29").
